It's here, the first day.
Into the school we come to pray:
Guide us to what we seek
To make the world less bleak.

Illness and suffering for the sick
See the lonely world's clock click,
And know poverty is the shame of men.
But the angels of God shall yet find ten.

Our first half year now ends
The rest of time it sends.
In the life spent here
The self becomes more clear.

But soon we shall know death
The dark shadow of our breath
It will take the one's for whom we care
But we shall ne'er surrender to its dare.

I know not what the future will bring
But to it, joy and sorrow, I sing.
Lift the veil your eyes darkly disguise
Behold, compassion in all hearts flies

Fellows of the body oracle we shall be
That one-another we more clearly shall see.
For in health the body does glow
Of the Soul's unebb'd flow.
