I watched a man die.
I bid farewell to a soul,
And commend him to God
I knew him but a little
yet privileged his resurrection.
Swaying in a sea of in-between
Gasping to live, living to die.
Tomorrow called him so,
Freed from his tired body,
Into Jehovah's divine party.
